FAQs

Executive functions are skills involved in self-control, working memory, problem-solving, and attention. They’re used daily for learning, functioning at school/work, and in managing day-to-day tasks.

EF coaching is a partnership to understand strengths and challenges and build strategies for organization, planning, time management, focus, self-regulation, and motivation — tailored to your goals.

NCMA offers 15–60-minute sessions as frequently as the client desires to support a customized approach.

EF challenges are commonly associated with ADHD but can also be impacted by depression, anxiety, ASD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and other conditions. EF coaching may also benefit people without a specific diagnosis who still struggle with EF skills. Those with acute psychiatric concerns may choose to wait until symptoms are stabilized.

Executive function coaching is not psychotherapy.
